Grant Thornton Sweden elects Lena Möllerström Nording chairman of the board

Lena Möllerström Nording was elected as the new chairman of the board of Grant Thornton Sweden AB at the partners' meeting on 12 June. Lena is the first woman ever to be elected chairman among all the larger accounting firms in Sweden.

Said Lena, "It is an honour to be elected chairman of the board for Grant Thornton Sweden. We have 130 partners, and the firm has experienced excellent development for a number of years. In these hard economic times we have managed to deliver a record strong profit. We have a high partner to staff ration and that creates a strong drive and commitment within the company. My role is to lead the strategic work towards continued strong growth and profit for Grant Thornton in Sweden."

Said Peter Bodin, CEO of the firm, "Lena is an excellent choice for chairman of the board with great experience of audit and advisory for mid sized and large companies, where we are gaining market share. Under her leadership the board will continue to develop our strategy to continue our excellent performance."

A member of the board since 2009, Lena was previously responsible for the firm's audit services. She takes over the role of chairman from Ivar Verner, who has held the role since 2000 and now leaves the firm.
